Frérèche is a type of family described as two brothers living together (co- resident siblings) with their family. It is categorized by P. Laslett[1], as one of the complex or multiple households.
The main idea of frérèche families is that the individuals (from different generations) of relative several families are living together. This household is widely adopted in Turkey, especially in the Eastern part.
Sexual psychopathology is a Freudian theory explained under economic model of meta-psychology. Meta-psychology, to be briefly said, constructed for dealing with abstract concepts of psychoanalysis. Now we’ll answer the main question from Freudian perspective.
What is Sexual Psychopathology, How and Why does it occur?
According to Freudian theory,
- most individuals are not capable of completing psychosexual stages of their childhood without ‘healthy’ and without any traumas.
Psychosexual stages are five, named as
Oral(12 month) → Anal (18 m) → Oedipal (3–6 y) → Latent (6-premature) → Genital(premature-death).
Phases describe where the total libidinal energy of the body gathered. ex: In oral phase, the we see the libidinal energy gathered in mouth, tongue, lips.
2. when they reach puberty and later adulthood, mostly people need more than genital intercourse to ejaculate.
ex: sadism and masochism is caused by not being able to get through the anal phase properly. And being stuck in an Oral phase, causes cannibalism, necrophilia and coprophilia.
3.here comes the pathologies, known as fantasies.
Sexual Psychopathologies:
- sadism
- masochism
- exhibitionism
- voyeurism
- incest — pedophilia
- homosexuality
- fetishism
- necrophilia and — coprophilia
4. if an individual can be aroused and experience genital ejaculation without the need for any deviance, means that → had survived all of her infancy processes normally and we consider s/he sexually normal&healthy.

According to the normal reflex theory, your headache does not last forever, the body is compelled to relieve it by the method of external ejaculation. Libidinal impulses originating from internal stimuli also need external ejaculation.
After introducing both concepts, while there are perversions that have already occurred in infancy that even individuals are not aware of and have become the biological reality of the body, multiple generations and living with relatives are family types will trigger these perversions.
The subject mentioned here is not concrete incidents such as penetrative sexual intercourse and rape harassment. It is the fantasies, desires and dreams of individuals that they are probably unaware of. Since we are a sexually unhealthy society where genital ejaculation rates are predicted to be very low, coexistence of potential objects of desire may increase this susceptibility.
Those have to be considered as predictions or just theories because of the difficulty, privacy and the abstractness of the topic, collecting irreproachable data is nearly impossible for 2021.
The question I asked my teacher on the first day that I took the Sexual Psychopathology course was this:
‘‘These perversions, which occurred through unconscious processes and infancy, should be treated with therapy and ‘normalized’?’’
His answer was: ‘‘If you try to treat a pervert, you cut his or her life veins. Because s/he feeds from there for all kinds of productive activities s/he does in life.
